The Golden Sea 3.15.17//Fables and Tea

The Golden Sea

Jump into the Golden waters of your darkened past.

Take a leap into the golden sea.

Swim with the mermaids,

With scales a shimmer.

They peel off one by one,

Revealing nothing but purple veins,

And prominent bruises.

The golden sea,

Where you can escape your greatest miseries

And the sorrows that keep you awake until midnight.

~

I think I wrote this poem two years ago. Somehow I never came across my old manuscript of poems until now.

Write on,

Hannah the bookworm
